5.4. Improved Management and Reporting
TM ensures that critical information is always available to the people who need it:
- Transforms may automatically generate HTML documentation, configurable to meet user requirements.
- Models may be amended and extended using TM.
- A graphical model viewer provides an easy to view display and printout of selected parts of the model.
- A model comparator documents the changes as new versions of models are introduced.
- Quickly discover the contributing source attributes and transforms that affect the results.
5.5. Reduced Project Risk and Future Maintainability:
Using TM offers users reduced risk with their architecture choices:
- TM transforms that are deployed can easily accommodate future architecture changes, e.g. usable in
both a Java and .NET environment and in a variety of operating modes (push/pull, near real time or
bulk load)
- TM Open Interfaces allow users to access any kind of data that they may encounter in the future.

- Being standards based, Transformation Manager already supports many of the relevant standards –
XML (DTD, XSD or XML instances ), relational databases (JDBC™ or ADO.NET), Java and
EXPRESS.
- TM transform descriptions are a clear record of transformation requirements for future users.
- As models or requirements change, TM provides a development environment that guides the user, even
if not part of the original development team, in the changes required to the transforms.
- TM is recognised for being open and fully configurable. Developers can use TM directly with JBuilder®
or XMLSpy® for example, or domain experts can work with UML tools and generate implementations
automatically.
- TM is being continually improved and enhanced to provide additional capabilities.
